my boyfriend's father bought an 18K gold ring on ebay. He receive it & tried to resize it & they wouldn't because it was a fake. I wrote the ebay seller asking for a full refund for him. She said no, it was a family ring & the ring said 18K on it. I think not! Is she a wacko or what? I emailed her again saying i would report her if she didn't refund the ring. I'm waiting for her reply again. Should I report her if she says she won't refund again? Or is this something I can't do anything about? I told him not to buy electronics or jewelry on ebay. Elderly people are so out of it!

Re: fraud!
Sun, October 9, 2005 - 7:13 PMDid the article listing state that the ring was genuine 18K or did it just state that 18K was engraved in it. That will make a difference if you try to settle through eBay.

Re: fraud!
Tue, August 22, 2006 - 11:41 AMI purchased a book from an Ebay power seller that was written by my father in the 1960's. The book was listed as being flawless & sold at $20 plus s/h. When I received the book, there were holes on the pages in the middle of the book. That Ebay power seller has a warehouse in a small NW AR town where he continues to store his items to sell to potential Ebay buyers. I think that Ebay should remove this seller from their company, but, I don't see that happening. I have contacted Ebay concerning this issue, but so far, the seller is still selling his wares & I've received no reply from Ebay.

Fri, October 20, 2006 - 7:12 PMYou need to report this if it isn't taken care of. For the most part ebay will try to do what they can to help you get this resolved. Most of the people on ebay really try to be honest and stand behind their auctions. Unfortunately there are some crooked ones too so you have to follow through on things. I have been an ebayer for a long time. I do ebay for the people I work for also. Good luck and don't let one bad experience scare you away.
