What do you think of those Ebay stores that sell your stuff on Ebay for you?

Anyone ever use one?

Probably because ebay has more traffic and thus, more exposure to the average consumer. Also, because buyers feel safer when the seller has feedback as opposed to ordering off some random website google pulled up.

I know that when I'm looking for something specific and I don't know where to find it, I go to ebay. Once you have a name for yourself then you can go to just a website.

      Just my 2 cents.

We just closed out the Ebay store where I work. The fees with Ebay are getting out of hand so why pay some one else to do it? It is not that hard to sell on ebay.

    Hi, (I'm new here),

A lot of people don't have the time, or the PC knowledge to do eBay themselves. Some folks don't want the hassle. I myself take consignments all the time for friends, family, and anyone who has something they want to get rid of but don't want/have the time to do it themselves.

I know a lot of the eBay stores or drop areas DO charge an outrageous fee... some up to 50 percent. Typically, I've seen them average around 35%. I myself charge 20-25%, pending on how much work I have to do for them. If someone handed me a collection of, Hummels, say, and had no idea their values or IDs, I'd charge more to look all that info up, thus 25%.

If someone had a collection of something AND they knew the values, IDs, etc, I'd obviously charge less like 20% (maybe less, pending on how many items).

I had a young lady give me 66 Barbies awhile back... with little to no knowledge on what values were. It was up to ME to figure this out. I charged the higher 25% profit (after eBay and Pay Pal fees) in that case.

Is it worth having a store do it for you?
